Valley Animal Hospital uses some very unique capablities of computers in order to help arrive at tough diagnoses. Most of our computers are Apple Macintosh and we have successfully interfaced these computers with medical tools. We have the ability of making a video which can be viewed in slow motion or it can be repeated as often as necessary for other doctors to review. The video can be sent over the internet to obtain second opinions from specialist veterinarians as well.

The following video shows a dog with a breathing problem. The soft palate on the roof of the mouth is too long and as a result is pushing too far into the back of the throat. This condition, know as an elongated soft palate, can be cured with a bloodless laser procedure!
