Micahel Vick completed a season with the Eagles and they will pick him up for another year with a 1.5 million dollar bonus. He "humbly" stated that he realizes his goal of being a starting quarterback for any NFL team is not going to happen in the 2010 season and he wants to remain with the Eagles in any capacity as a "team player". Obviously, no NFL team wants Vick as a starting quaterback. But is it a lack of talent or could Vick be a "persona no grata"? Perhaps others think that he should have never been allowed back in the game in the first place. I am divided here. On the one hand, Vick has paid his debt to society and he should be allowed to pick up the peices of his life now that the animal brutality stuff is passed. On the other hand, his behavior is so onerous and enraging that I can not even look at him (or the Eagles for that matter) when he is playing. Add to this the only reason he seems remorseful is that he got caught. What is it with these megamillion sports stars? Do they think they are above it all?
